During her thirty plus years of physical therapy practice she has specialized in working with autoimmune diseases and chronic pain, anxiety and stress disorders, orthopedics, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and industrial medicine.

Brenda began her career as a physical therapist, but was increasingly drawn to course work and learning that moved beyond the traditional medical framework of understanding human health and movement, In 1997 she became the first physical therapist in East Tennessee certified in the Feldenkrais Method ®. During a routine session with one of her PT clients she was introduced to Healing Touch and experienced a profound change, launching her into the study of Energy Medicine through the Healing Touch Program. She became certified as a practitioner in 2003 and was a charter member and former Board member of Healing Touch of East Tennessee. She became a Healing Touch Certified Instructor in 2011, teaching Level 1 and Level 2 classes. In 2011 she completed the 3 year Embodied Life Mentorship Program with Russell Delman in California and began leading retreats based on these teachings..

Brenda has a holistic physical therapy practice, working with individual clients, as well as teaching classes, retreats,  and workshops in the Feldenkrais Method, Embodied Life™, and Healing Touch.
