Freeing the Neck and Shoulders – “The Next Best Thing to Being There” Online Feldenkrais
March 26, 2020 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am
March 26, 9:30am – Freeing the Neck and shoulders. Have you spent too much time lately hunched over your phone or computer? Join Brenda in a real time small group online Feldenkrais session. The session is conducted with Zoom video conferencing software allowing real time audio and video communication. Technology willing you will receive an audio and a video with audio recording of the class so you can repeat it later on, or access if you miss the class.
What to wear: Comfortable clothing in which you can move easily. I can see your movement better if you are not wearing really baggy clothes.
How to set up your computer or phone: Lie so that all of your mat is included in the screen, at a slight diagonal. You may want your charger plugged in or close by.
Video/Audio: I will be making an audio and a video/audio recording of this lesson and send a link for you to return to it later. If you do not want to participate in the video, please turn the video off on your computer, once you are in the Zoom app. If you turn your video off, your screen will be black with your name. I will not be able to see you and give feedback, though.
Taking Care of Yourself: As always in a Feldenkrais class, think of all the movements as a suggestion, not a requirement. If something is difficult or you don’t understand my instruction, ask me a question, or change how you are doing it. Do not struggle with pain or unnecessary effort to accomplish a movement. This learning is about noticing ourselves, including all of our sensations and emotions. Any movement can be observed without participation, or done in the imagination, or just skipped. Rest whenever you need to. Your brain still takes it all in.
